Electrocardiography (ECG) - a diagnostic study method that reflects the dynamics of the functioning of the heart over a certain period of time using a graphic image that displays the electrical activity of the organ.

Electrocardiography is based on a rather elementary principle, which is based on the ability of the device to pick up electrical impulses in the heart and, after processing, record them in the form of a graph. This type of diagnosis allows to determine the functional state of the most important organ of the human body - the heart. This procedure allows pre-diagnosis of arrhythmias, insufficient blood supply and myocardial hypertrophy, muscle thinning, ischemic disease, heart attack, etc.

The undoubted advantages of electrocardiography are the absence of the need for special preparation of the patient and the speed of obtaining data on his cardiac activity. Recording diagnostic results on paper allows long-term monitoring of patients\' health. In health resorts of Belarus modern electrocardiographs make the examination process quick and comfortable. During the passage of this type of diagnosis, special sensors are placed on the body of the person, the data from which are transferred to paper or film using a recorder. After completing the procedure, the cardiologist interprets theelectrocardiogramand based on it, further treatment actions are planned.
