Mud baths

Mud therapy - one of the methods of thermal treatment, in which the therapeutic effect is achieved through the use of therapeutic muds of various types. In terms of its composition, therapeutic mud is a unique set of vitamins, minerals and organic substances, thanks to which it has a healing effect on the human body.

Mud therapy is one of the most popular and effective methods of treatment of various diseases of the skin, musculoskeletal system and cardiovascular system. This procedure is also actively used for prophylactic and cosmetic purposes. Depending on its composition, curative mud can be caused by sapropelic, silt and peat mud. In health resorts of Belarus during the mud cure procedures, sapropel muds of lakes Sudobl, Svyatoe and Dikoe are used, which are not inferior in quality to their foreign counterparts.

Healing mud can be applied in the form of general and local mud applications. During local mud applications, therapeutic mud is applied to a specific part of the body, depending on the location of the inflammatory process and taking into account the degree of its activity. When performing common mud treatments, medicinal mud covers almost the entire body, with the exception of the head and the front surface of the chest. As a result of squeezing the venous vessels with dirt, microcirculation and hemodynamics are improved, the heart and lymph circulation are improved.

The complex effect of mud treatments contributes to complete muscle relaxation, improving blood circulation, which ultimately has a positive effect on the skin, improves its tone and even helps to solve the problem of excess weight.
