General mud applicationone of the classic methods of mud therapy, in which pre-heated therapeutic mud is applied to the entire body, with the exception of the head and heart area, with a layer 2-3 cm thick. The compression of venous vessels caused by the mud mass affects microcirculation and hemodynamics, heart and lymph circulation.
Mud applications are divided into 5 types, depending on the temperature:
- High (44-46 degrees)
- Moderate (40-42 degrees)
- Low (36-38 degrees)
- Slightly cold (34-36 degrees)
- Cold (up to 20 degrees)
Muds of moderate, low and slightly cold temperatures are used in the remission stage, as well as in the presence of vegetative-vascular pathologies. Cold applications are used for individual intolerance to high temperature.
Depending on its composition, curative mud can be caused by sapropelic, silt and peat mud.Indications for the procedure:
- Diseases of the joints and spine: arthritis, arthrosis, osteochondrosis
- Skin diseases: chronic eczema, psoriasis, ichtheosis, neurodermatitis, scars after burns and wounds,
scleroderma in the initial stages - Infertility (male and female)
- Diseases of the kidneys, bladder, prostatitis
- Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, blood vessels, respiratory organs, nervous system, eyes
Contraindicationsto the procedure:
- Epilepsy
- Presence of malignant tumors
- Acute inflammation
- Tuberculosis
- Myomas, fibromas, ovarian cysts
- Cardiac decompensation, aortic and cardiac aneurysm
- Varicose veins
- Bleeding and blood diseases
- Jade and nephrosis
