Mineral bath
Mineral bath - one of the types of balneotherapy for which mineral water or its artificial analogues are used. Beneficial properties of mineral baths are associated with the effect of chemical elements on the skin and their penetration into the human body through the pores.
The healing properties of mineral baths have been known since ancient times, so already in the VI century experiments were conducted to study their healing properties. Nowadays, there is no doubt about the usefulness of such baths. In health resorts of Belarus,by immersing a person in a bath with mineral water, strengthen the immunity of vacationers, treat many diseases. The main distinguishing feature of mineral baths, unlike fresh ones, is that, together with thermal and mechanical effects, they also have a chemical effect on the body.
Mechanical exposure improves microcirculation in the body. Hot water warms up the internal organs, which helps to improve metabolism and relieve pain. Chemical elements contained in mineral water penetrate through the pores into the body, thereby saturating the blood. In addition, vacationers, while in the bath, inhale the beneficial fumes of mineral water.
«Salt coat» , that is formed on skin, is saved after the procedure, due to which the effect of mineral waters is not limited to the moment of taking a bath, but continues after its completion, untill «coat» won't be washed off with water.
