Intra-articular blockade - is a medical procedure, during which drugs are injected into the joint cavity or into the periarticular space, and in the result medicinal substances fall directly into the area of the pathological process. The procedure is designed to alleviate the condition of a patient who suffers from a severe pain syndrome caused by diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
Therapeutic blockades are used mainly with a therapeutic purpose in conjunction with other methods of treating diseases of the nervous system and dystrophic-destructive diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
