Electric vehicle charging station
Charging station for electric vehicles is an element of infrastructure that provides electricity for charging battery-electric vehicles. At the moment there are two station options:
- wired, which allow you to charge the car via a cable (the most common option);
- wireless, which provide wireless charging.
The wired charging device resembles a laptop charger, only it is slightly larger. The charging speed depends on the battery capacity, cable diameter, power supply power and mains voltage.
Wireless electric vehicle charging, also known as inductive charging or wireless power transfer, is a method of charging electric vehicles without the use of cables or physical connectors. Instead, the charging system consists of two main components: a wireless charging surface and a receiver mounted on the vehicle.
